Dear Mr. Heigl:
We have been notified that your Web site,
www.millcityrecords.com/mnmensa/
references being the authentic Minnesota Mensa Web site.
This is a claim you
cannot make, as only the governing board of Minnesota Mensa has
a limited
license from American Mensa Ltd to use the name Mensa and its
logo in
connection with official activities and program.
The material contained on the website is
also copyrighted by Minnesota Mensa
and American Mensa Ltd. We are asking that this material be
removed to avoid
any infringement.
I realize that you have been a valuable
volunteer in the organization for many
years and this Web activity is the result of a dispute between
you and your local
group. I'd like to resolve this as amicably as possible
since we do value your
membership and contributions to the organization. At the same
time I hope you
understand that Mensa's name is valuable and we work very hard
to protect that
name and trademark.
Sincerely,
Pamela L. Donahoo, CAE
