I think you made an excellent choice.

Ours is *not* there -- that would be very unprofessional and non-Mensan,
to say the least. There's so much wrong with it that I don't have time
to list it all this morning.

As MN Mensa Webmaster, I can assure you that *ours has had those
unfinished, sample pages completed, and the most glaring mistakes
painstakingly corrected over the past few days, and is at
http://www.mnmensa.org/ag2003/, where it belongs.

To me, "garish" is uncomfortably close to "tacky" both of which seem far
removed from "high IQ". Maybe that's just me, but I would rather aim
for "classy".

It can still be "hip" -- it needs to be -- but I think the real hipness
should come from the content, not necessarily from the wrapping.

Perhaps both of us (and anyone else interested) should go to the
national links page
(http://www.us.mensa.org/local_groups/local_groups_alpha.php3) and click
on every link there, just to see what other groups have been doing. Or
we could start with the recent winners
(http://www.us.mensa.org/best_of/2002webwinners.php) and see what's
considered top-notch these days.

(Frankly, none of the "best of" sites really rang my chimes this morning
-- I think we can do a LOT better for MN Mensa Website Version 2.0!)
