That was a waste of postage in any event, but particularly since I've
been laid up with a kidney stone and couldn't drive down to the post
office for a while. I've received no "registered letter" which is
probably just as well.

I wouldn't have done such an absurd thing anyway. Any attempt to
intimidate me by dumping on me without warning and without cause is
definitely not high-IQ behavior.

I'm unaware of any official Board Meeting on or about 7/17.

In any event, the Board appears to have made a mistake, perhaps rooted
in others' mistakes that they want to project onto me to divert
attention from their own shortcomings, I don't know.

I do know that I have violated no Bylaws. I have not been accused of
violating any Bylaws. I have received no communication alleging (with
particulars) that I have violated any Bylaws in any way.

If anyone has reason to believe that I have violated any Bylaws, then
they can follow the procedures, and make formal charges, and have them
adjudicated. (I believe the Bylaws provide for that, yes?)

No questions, just a few statements.

Dede, back on May 1st of this year, at 1:23 p.m., you phoned me,
presumably on behalf of the Board, asking if I would be willing to serve
another year as MN Mensa Webmaster. I agreed, and you indicated you
were pleased about this.

I don't renege on my commitments, and I don't expect anyone else to,
either. This does not even require a Mensa-level IQ, just basic ethics
and personal integrity.

Please don't try "playing politics" with me; it doesn't work. I have
done nothing wrong; I have not even been accused of doing anything
wrong.

If you must play politics and invite someone to resign, identify those
folks who came up with a poorly named and registered domain name, and
pages that violate Mensa requirements and aren't ready for prime time by
any generally accepted professional standard. Invite *them* to resign.

I have not resigned, I do not resign, and at least until the anniversary
date of our phone conversation (5/1/03) I don't have the slightest
intention of resigning. I have done nothing wrong; I have seen no
particulars even alleging that I have done anything wrong.

Let's all dump the political maneuvering and get back to work for
Minnesota Mensa.

And in the future.
