Hello again, Mary.

Thank you for your reply to a question of mine back in mid July about
AML's domain names.

I've truly enjoyed many of your 988 e-mails to the Webmaster, WebTalk,
and Webheads lists, dating back to 6/28/98 <!>. I feel a bit like I'm
corresponding with a famous author.

I gather that you are THE Webmaster, not just A Webmaster, for AML --
and that you've been Webmaster since at least mid-1998.

1. I take it that you do your job remotely, or is the AML server in the
Atlanta area? What are the primary half-dozen tasks you're responsible
for? Do you have co- or associate webmasters, too? Do they have
specific tasks?

2. Does the AML Webmaster position have a formal job description that
one could read, or has it evolved more informally. Is there a list of
duties?

3. Does the AML Webmaster have any actual authority over what appears
and/or does not appear on the AML website, or is the position more one
of duties than authority? Who *would* have final authority over the
content of the AML website?

4. I've read references to Kim Lovering and Howard Prince -- what are
their primary functions regarding the AML website, and how does the AML
Webmaster relate to them respectively (organization chart-wise or
otherwise)?

I hope these are rather simple questions that you can easily answer.
You've got to be one of the busiest people on the planet, and I envy
whatever you use for time management.

And I would think the answers to questions 1-3 might make an interesting
article for the Bulletin, or a good info page on the AML website ...

(BTW, I haven't the slightest interest in the AML Webmaster position --
I'd do a terrible job no matter what the duties are. I'm swamped with a
wide variety of clients here in the Northfield area, and my own time
management skills leave a lot to be desired. But you've got a lot of
longevity in your position, and I can always learn from the success
stories of others, and I don't know that many Mensa-level webmasters
that I can communicate with!)

Thanks so much.

Regards,
Al
