Not sure who YOU have as an account contact. I see at netsol that the
Registrant is still listed as "Celia Andersen, Treasurer."
Celia was our Treasurer at the time four years ago, and nobody
(especially me) has felt like going through the hooey of updating netsol
after every Board election.
The assumption is that Celia will pass along the invoice to whoever is
treasurer in any given year.
(I note from my e-mail files that you and I kicked this around in April
& May of 2000, but nothing since then.)
This year, Ken Silver is still our treasurer.
So, for example, your hosting invoice should go to:
Ken Silver
4157 Flat Ave. N.
New Hope, MN 55427
Jim, the thing to know is that while American Mensa, Ltd, our national
organization, actually has a "home office" (in Arlington, TX), all the
state-based local groups are very ad hoc. We have no office. We don't
even have an unchanging P.O. box where people can write to us.
Every year we elect our local officers, and for that year the monthly
Board meetings are held in the home of whoever gets elected LocSec.
The bills go to the address of whoever gets elected Treasurer.
Etc.
I'm not saying it's the best way, and you'd think high-IQ folks could
come up with something better. But we're a very loose group (the local
group is formed primarily for various social purposes) and the
membership (and thus the Board members) are scattered all over the Twin
Cities.
So I'd assume that the contact you have is the "billing contact" - Ken
Silver.
The "operation contact" has been me, I guess, and I'm expecting that to
continue. I can always be overruled by a LocSec, but I always try to
keep things mellow so we don't disagree on technical things regarding
our hosting.
As far as who makes requests of you, I'd give me 9 points, and the
LocSec 10 points, and if you get a request from anybody else, even
another Board member, I'd suggest you tell them that you want to have it
confirmed by the LocSec.
Hope this clarifies what you were asking about.
