Dear Kim,
I wish to offer an apology to you.
As you may have gathered from our e-mail exchange back in the second
week of July, we weren't terribly coordinated on Internet stuff up here
in Minnesota!
There was a massive lack of inter-communication as to who was doing
what, and who was responsible for what.
I for one was operating in a partial vacuum, and was (I thought) simply
trying to do precisely the same thing for MN Mensa that I normally do
regularly for my commercial clients.
Things are still somewhat cloudy here, but we have a temporary Acting
LocSec (Paul Jensen) who is putting in a massive amount of effort
towards straightening things out (including a long drive to Northfield
last Saturday for a 3+ hour discussion with me on some of these issues).
I have written to Publications to see if there's a Webmaster's Handbook
as there is an Editor's Handbook. If there isn't, there should be --
our group could have surely used it over the past six months.
The point of THIS message:
I am truly sorry for the "flame" content of my last e-mail. My growing
frustration was with the situation itself, and I did not mean to
distress you personally or call into question your qualifications.
Sincerely,
Al Heigl
Webmaster, MN Mensa
