You're welcome (it was going up there anyway), and thanks for the time
you spent on the phone with me back on March 28.

There's a much better help up there now -- the full set of e-mails on
this fiasco -- at
http://www.millcityrecords.com/mndensa/emails/unthreaded.htm

Just a few notes on the collection:

Right now it's mostly for you (I haven't released it to the search
engines yet), as I'm still working out the page graphics, navigation
buttons, etc., and wrestling with the pros and cons of having each
e-mail open in its own window instead.

Also, I'm doing a matching page which shows the messages in threaded
graphical format, which is rather tricky. While that will be most
helpful in showing context better, I think in your case, seeing them in
chronological order is probably best, for starters anyway.

Finally, these are still more data than information. My biggest project
is a narration of the whole story, explaining how badly certain board
members let down the membership, and having specific links to the
individual e-mails as they illustrate and support the narration.

Going through all those e-mails certainly strengthened my resolve to see
this thing through to a satisfactory resolution no matter what
impediments I have to overcome or work around. The shabby treatment I
received from certain board members is unacceptable.

(For some background on "unacceptable" and how I deal with it, I
heartily recommend a serious read of the page at
http://www.millcityrecords.com/alheigl/brainpower.htm -- I gave Paul
Jensen a printout of this page as he left my apartment after we signed
the agreement, just so he'd know the outcome that he had spared Schmitz
and the board by working things out with me. Obviously, he chose not to
share that printout with those certain board members -- perhaps he
wanted them to suffer the consequences of their chosen malfeasance.)

And speaking of the agreement -- I've always simply referred to Paul's
being Acting LocSec at the time, but the re-reading of the e-mail
collection reminded me that I've been understating it.

If you look at
http://www.millcityrecords.com/mndensa/emails/ag-email46.htm, you'll see
that one would merely infer that Paul was Acting LocSec, and he wasn't
charged with bringing something for the board to act on (because anybody
can do that).

Paul was specifically "... authorized to conduct the affairs of
Minnesota Mensa."

Which he did, in my apartment, negotiate a written agreement providing
for my reinstatement as Minnesota Mensa Webmaster, which we both signed,
and that was the ball game. As Paul acted under his specific
authorization, the board had no business trying to obstruct the deal.

Anyway, read through the e-mails. Let me know if you have any
questions, or need anything clarified.

Again, as the injured party, I appreciate your Ombudsmanly efforts here.

Regards,

Al
