Dear Dave,

I just now opened and read your letter dated 5/10/20056.

With all due respect, I need to say that if you are going to write to
people concerning Mensa matters, I strongly suggest that you obtain and
use some official Mensa stationary and envelopes.'

Reason: I have been extremely busy the last few months, and, with the
help of my daughter, have been forced to do triage on incoming mail.
Invoices and bills are pulled out, other obviously essential envelopes
extracted, and the rest has been going into a massive pile of stuff for
me to wade through when I get some free time.

I mean, just take a look at your envelope:
http://www.millcityrecords.com/mndensa/remine01-env.htm
There's absolutely no indication on that envelope that its contents
might concern official Mensa business.

Since this correspondence is being published on the Internet, I will
format this e-mail reply incorporating your letter as if it had been
e-mailed. (And, for heaven's sake, why wasn't it? I would have read it
the same day, rather than over three months later.)

Well, first of all, I'm sorry to confess that I have never heard of the
Mensa National Hearings Committee, Guy Conti, or the existence of the
Mensa Advocate. Perhaps you could enlighten me when you have a bit of
spare time.

Second, I am delighted to hear that *someone* has taken up my cause.
For over four years now, multiple acts inimical against me have been
committed, both at the local and national level. I am very pleased that
the various people who have done this may well be called to account.

Actually, I am quite anxious to reply, as I can supply detailed
documentation of these acts inimical against me. They have been
appalling, and it's high time they were dealt with.

I would have to say that you have been informed wrong. I have seen none
of that to which you refer.

So far in 2006, I have only received the Local Group newsletter,
/Mensagenda/, and the /Mensa Bulletin/, as expected.

(I vaguely recall one other thing, a Tyvek green-triangle large
envelope, but it was obviously being sent to all Mensa members, and, not
needing a Mensa directory or feeling the need to fill out a Mensa survey
(as my recent experiences have been quite negative), it went into the
giant pile of deferred mail that I will get to someday.)

Let's go for the formal hearing; in fact, I hereby request it. Many
people in leadership positions (including, I'm sorry to say, Pam
Donahoo), have blatantly violated a Mensa by-law and/or Article IIID of
the Mensa Constitution, and I would like to see these people called to
account. I have much hard evidence to submit.

I am looking forward to seeing these things. I likely have even more
evidence of specific harassment against me than Guy does.

I should also note that the original dispute that led to these multiple
inimical acts against me, and a specific flagrant violation of Article
IIID of the Mensa Constitution, are currently under investigation by the
Mensa Ombudsman. However, an action by this Mensa Advocate, Guy Conti,
is welcomed, as I would hope it would lead to sanctions levied against
those who have been harassing me, violating the Mensa Constitution, and
failing to honor written contracts to which they are signatory.

Thanks for writing, Dave. I'll look forward to hearing back from you.
